1. What is the difference between "Hammered" and "Brushed" finishes?

Hammered Brass has a handcrafted, dimpled texture that reflects light in a unique, organic way—perfect for vintage or artisan brands. Brushed finish (available in brass or steel) has a smooth, matte linear grain that looks clean, modern, and professional, ideal for corporate offices.

2. Will I see a design proof before production?

Yes, absolutely. We know custom signage is a big investment. Within 24 hours of placing your order (and uploading your logo), our design team will email you a digital mockup. We will not start cutting or etching until you give us your final approval. You can request adjustments to layout and sizing for free.

3. Are these metal signs weather-resistant for outdoor use?

Yes. Our solid brass, bronze, and stainless steel plaques are marine-grade. We treat them with a UV-resistant clear coat (lacquer) to prevent unwanted oxidation. They are built to withstand rain, snow, and sunlight without rusting. Note: If you prefer the "living finish" (where brass naturally ages and darkens over time), let us know, and we can leave it unsealed!

4. How thick is the metal? Is it solid?

We use premium materials. Our standard metal plaques are typically 2mm to 3mm (1/8") thick solid metal, not flimsy foil. This gives the sign a heavy, luxurious feel. For a more substantial 3D look, we can also mount the metal plate onto an acrylic backer or use spacers to float it off the wall.

5. Can I install the sign myself? (DIY Installation)

Absolutely. 90% of our small business customers install these signs themselves in under 15 minutes. We provide a full kit with mounting templates, screws, and spacers. You don't need to hire a professional contractor.

6. How do I maintain and clean my brass/steel sign?

Low maintenance is key. Since our signs are clear-coated, you simply need to wipe them down with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust. Do not use harsh chemicals or brass polish, as this could damage the protective coating.
